Another
It’s actually a new day, but it’s in the middle of the night, so it doesn’t feel as if it has begun. I fell asleep nicely, but woke up again. Quite often, just as I’m about to fall asleep, I get little anxiety attacks. I say ‘little’, because they’re brief and not serious at all — just a reminder of what they can really be like. Tonight, I couldn’t fall back asleep. Instead my mind kept spinning … about stupid things, like if I will have to file tax returns in two countries when I get a pension. First of all, that won’t happen until four years from now, so it’s kind of early to start worrying about it now. There’s no stop button for the mind though, so I got up instead, and went online. Scrolled mindlessly in Facebook for a while, read likewise mindless posts. I really need to get away from there — won’t have to delete it, I guess … just stay away because it’s mind numbing.

First post for a while
When I woke up this morning, I had stop and think for a while, what day it was. That’s not unusual. When you don’t work the days tend to gel into a big mushy heap of nothingness. At first I woke up around 4 o’clock, looked out and the moon looked fabulous — like a big piece of cheese, hanging there in the sky, just begging to have its photo taken. I was too tired though, but had it been closer to the horizon I might have mustered up some energy, in spite of the early hour.
Instead, I’m going to muster up the energy to make mashed potatoes with the salmon we’re going to have for supper.

It’s been three years since tassling signed up for WordPress. Six years since tassling signed up for Gmail.
